The Compendium

of Merouda Pendray

Welcome!

One of the things I most enjoy about the SCA, Inc, is the opportunity to try my hand at about as many different crafts as I have a desire to try. The primary purpose of these pages is to share some of my personal experience in learning about the crafts and activities I've taken a shine to.

Some of the things I've studied have been purely for pleasure. Other things caught my attention as I studied other things, or as part of my quest to more fully understand Merouda-myth--what she would have known, what she would have done, had she been a real person. In any event, the following list represents activities I am currently pursuing, some more diligently than others. I have tried to list everything, and sometime or another I'll have all these sections written. For now, I'll activate them as I create a page for the subject. The articles range from simple notes about some research to full-blown, step-by-step instructions for making various items.

Because there are already some very good link compilation sites online, the following pages lead primarily to my own work. If have one article relevant to the subject, the link goes straight to that article; if I have several, the link leads to a list of relevant articles. Ultimately, my goal is to have each subject lead to a list page and, if relevant, links to sites that I have found to be so noteworthy that they are worth keeping here as a quick reference. Note that this section functions in some ways as an index to this site. Each section of this site has a background denoting its primary place in my scheme; thus, some have this blue and gray scheme, others have a green on green scheme, et cetera. Of course, some articles cover several subjects; those are listed in multiple sections.
